Barbara L. Mahoney, age 53, of Arcadia, California, died Saturday, August 25, 2001, at her residence. She was born September 3, 1947, in Mansfield, Ohio, the daughter of late Max R. Craven and Bernadeen L. Dowd. Barbara was a 1965 Graduate of Mt. Gilead High School and graduated from Grant Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Mt. Gilead, and had worked as a registered nurse for 25 years.
She is survived by her husband, Philip M. Mahoney, whom she married May 6, 1978, her mother, Bernadeen L. Dowd of Boise, Idaho; two brothers and sisters-in-law Roger & Sally Craven of Boise, Idaho and Gary & Lynette Craven of Lodi, California; and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her father’s widow, Janet L. Craven of Mt. Gilead, Ohio.
Friends may call on Friday from 5-8 p.m. in the Craven Funeral Home in Mt. Gilead. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church of Mt. Gilead with Rev. Robin Obetz officiating. Burial will be in Rivercliff Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
