I'M ALIVE!!!!!! |

It has been said "life is a test" but after having two hurricanes, a cat 2 and a cat 3 come in directly over my home town of Stuart, Florida was a test for me, my family, my community, and my State.
So much destruction and so much suffering. These type of events seem to bring out the best and the worst in people. In the past weeks I have observed so many acts of kindness and generosity that it completely over shadows those few incidents of looting and price gouging that has occurred.
Life is slowly returning to normal and people are getting on with their lives.
The following are some heros I want to thank. The power line repairmen to came in from all over the country to restored power after Frances and returned after Jeanne to do it all over again. I feel fortunate we were only without power for 16 days total. I want to thank FEMA and Gov. Bush and his staff for responding so quickly to our disasters and thank you Red Cross, your people were fantastic. Most of all, I want to thank my brother Bob Thomas and his wife Genny, their help and support was there when I needed it. Thank you with all my heart.
