We're "60" can't be! |
|
By Sherry Shelton Casto on 9/26/2007 |
Dear Class of 1965, It is impossible to believe we are "60". When did that happen? Seems like yesterday we were graduating with so many plans, yet...it seems like a life-time! Most of us are dealing with caring for parents, and many have lost them. Our parents lived through W.W. II contributing in different ways. Their hope was to give us a peaceful, free Country. It occurs to me that we are a blessed generation to have had such parents. Most of you probably know my family is dealing with some tough times. Garry has early onset Alzheimers. I tell him he is the bravest man I know. His jovial, sweet spirit shines through even yet. Our second son, Chad, has ALS. He became ill 5 yrs. ago. Our other children have rallied to help his wife and children, ages 4 and 6. They have made us proud! Chad refuses to give into this illness. His fighting spirit and faith in God are awesome to see. As you think of us and pray for us, just know we are taking one day at a time and making the most of it. "We are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ who loved us." Romans 8:37
